Work / Optagen

Helping store teams know what to do next.

Optagen is our own live product. It brings information from the tools a store already uses into a clearer list of decisions for the people running it.

Every client has an account executive to keep the people, decisions and delivery connected.

Explore the product. Follow the decisions.

The public demo uses labelled illustrative store data. It is not a client performance report.

How human control fits the design
  1. 01

    Connect store information

  2. 02

Review a recommendation and its evidence

  3. 03

    Choose an approved action

  4. 04

    Check the recorded result

A simplified view of the decisions described below.

The problem: too many disconnected answers

A store operator has sales, stock, marketing and customer data in different tools. What they need is a clear answer to a daily question: what needs attention now, and why?

We connected those signals, made uncertainty visible and gave the operator a way to check the evidence before acting.

Why another dashboard was not enough

A dashboard shows information, then asks a person to work out what matters. Across several stores and tools, the important issue may only appear when those signals are considered together.

Optagen presents a prioritized list of actions, approvals, risks and opportunities. Each item shows its likely importance, how confident the system is and the information behind it.

Show how certain an answer is

A recommendation can look convincing even when the information behind it is incomplete. The system needs to show when a suggestion rests on uncertain data.

Every recommendation shows a confidence level and links to its evidence. The operator can inspect the reasoning, disagree and override it.

Keep the operator in control

We had to decide when the product could act and when a person should decide.

The operator chooses a mode for each type of action: handle it personally, let AI prepare it for approval, or allow it to run within rules they set.

The operator chooses what the system may do and what still needs approval.

Check what actually changed

The product records the result it expected and what actually happened, so the operator can see where its advice helped and where it needs improvement.

A useful system should make it possible to see when it was wrong. That is essential when people rely on its suggestions for business decisions.

What we would do differently

Reserved for the people who built it: the decision we would reverse, what it cost to find out, and what we would try instead. It stays visible, and empty, until they write it.

What this has to do with your store

If your store tools tell different stories, we can help your team bring the information together, decide what to trust and set clear limits on what AI may do.
